AMS runs specials from time to time and I was able to get the new version at a highly discounted price. I find PhotoWorks to be easy to use compared to other photo editing programs. I can make huge improvements to my photos using the sharpness tool and adjusting the darks, especially the red. I like that the cropping tools allow you to crop at a predetermined aspect ratio. I also use the noise reduction tool on some photos. The one problem I had with my earlier version of this software was that the patch tool was constantly crashing the program.
