Insync does not officially support OpenSUSE, Pop OS, Manjaro, and Arch but here are community-supported ways to get the app working.OpenSUSE (Leap / Tumbleweed)There are two ways to install Insync:First option:OpenSUSE is based on Rhel. Our Fedora 36 build (RPM) is compatible with this distro, and you can find it here. After downloading the Fedora 36 build, run this command: sudo zypper install ./path/to/package (Note: please replace the pathname to the actual path of the build)Here's a more detailed guide from one of our users. Insync 3 beta was released recently with many changes under the hood, and a major new feature: support for OneDrive and OneDrive for Business.Insync is a third-party Google Drive desktop sync client (now with OneDrive support too). It's available for Windows, Mac and Linux, and it's not free to use (see its pricing page), but you can try it for free for 15 days. The stable version features support for multiple accounts, Team Drives support, file manager integration, feed of recent file changes, symlink support, and much more.Insync 3 Linux client UI and tray iconWhile it's in beta, Insync 3 is free to use, but once the beta phase ends, syncing will stop unless you already have a license or you purchase one.The added OneDrive support makes Insync the only GUI sync client for OneDrive that runs on Linux (that I know of at least). That's not the only change in the new Insync 3 beta though.For Insync 3, the sync engine, called "Core 3" for this release, was rewritten using Python 3 and includes improved internal processing, with faster and more reliable file sync. You will need to run Insync 3.x for your Ubuntu 20.04 machine. It installs and seems to work on 20.04. But I would suggest using rclone or alike, it’s pretty sleazy that Insync sold us lifetime licences and then changed their minds. I get that they need to make money but not at the expense of their early supporters. I assume this comment will get deleted. Thank you! ssardina June 14, 2020, 10:36am 9 @Gregology, if you had Insync you sould have gotten the upgrade to the Plus version for free, at least that was my case.So, in that regards, I think they have been OK and respectful of us who were even testing their initial beta versions.However, I am EXTREMELY CONCERNED that their only working version, after 1 year, will not work for the latest Ubuntu 20.04 installs. I tried version 3.x a year + ago and it was a total disaster, making me lose more than a week of work, painful.I have seen in the forum that still the 3.x version is buggy and not stable, with bugs going all the way back to Jan 2020 still.Is anybody running InSync 3.x on Ubuntu 20.04 seriously? I mean with GB of data, etc. @GregologyDoes it
