From the external network using VPN if it has a private WAN IP address such as 192.168.x.x, 10.x.x.x, or 172.16.x.x? When your router WAN IP is a private/virtual IP, it means that your router may be in the connection environment as shown in the figure below, and there is another router in front that assigns an IP address to your router. In this case, you must set up port forwarding on another router's virtual server page in order to use VPN to connect back to your own router from a remote external network. Please refer to the instructions on How to set up VPN server with port forwarding? Note: To use VPN Server on your ASUS router, your router needs to have a public IP(WAN IP) from your ISP's internet service. This will allow devices on the internet to locate your ASUS router via a public IP(WAN IP). If you are not sure of your public IP type, please check your Internet Service Provider (ISP).2. Can the router use the private IP to set up the remote connection function? Please note that if the router is using a private WAN IP address (such as connected behind another router/switch/modem with built-in router/Wi-Fi feature), could potentially place the router under a multi-layer NAT network. This feature will not function properly under such environment.Private IPv4 network ranges:Class A: 10.0.0.0 – 10.255.255.255Class B: 172.16.0.0 – 172.31.255.255Class C: 192.168.0.0 – 192.168.255.255CGNAT IP network ranges:The allocated address block is 100.64.0.0/10, i.e. IP addresses from 100.64.0.0 to 100.127.255.255.How to get the (Utility / Firmware)? You can download the latest drivers, software, firmware and user manuals in the ASUS Download Center. If you need more information about the ASUS Download Center, please refer this link.

Up the configurations. That way, you can easily restore them if you ever have to reset the router again. What to Do When You Can't Access the WRT54G Router If 192.168.1.1 isn't the IP address that's configured for the router, it's less of an issue than if the default password isn't correct. A router reset will restore the default IP address as well, but you don't have to do that just to find its IP address. Assuming the Linksys WRT54G has been working as your router, you probably have several devices that are connected to it. Find one of those devices and check the IP address configured as the default gateway. Linksys WRT54G Firmware and Manual Links Linksys no longer hosts a support page for this router, so firmware downloads and instructions for upgrading the router's firmware are not available on their website. However, you can access this archived WRT54G Downloads page for those items.Download the firmware that matches the hardware version of the WRT54G router. The hardware version number is at the bottom of the router. If there isn't a version number, then download the firmware from the Hardware version 1.0 section. The same firmware is used with all versions of the WRT54G router, but it's still important to select the right section on the download page before you select Download to get the firmware. For example, if you have a version 2.0 router, choose Hardware version 2.0 on the download page. Here's a direct link to the Linksys WRT54G Manual, in PDF format, which applies to all hardware versions. Everything else you could possibly want to know about your router can be found on the Linksys WRT54G Support page, including FAQs and numerous how-to guides. With the no ip split-horizon command. The figure below shows the topology and interfaces. In this example, split horizon is disabled on all serial interfaces. Split horizon must be disabled on Router C in order for network 172.16.0.0 to be advertised into network 192.168.0.0 and vice versa. These subnets overlap at Router C, interface S0. If split horizon were enabled on serial interface S0, it would not advertise a route back into the Frame Relay network for either of these networks. Finished these basic steps before, then you can skip Steps 1 and 2. Step 1: Connect camera to the network and find IP address 1.1 Connect camera to the network If you want to use wired connection, you just need to connect the Ethernet cable. Otherwise, there are several ways to connect the IP camera to your Wi-Fi network. Please read the product manual for detailed instructions. (1) If your Wi-Fi router does not support WPS, then you can connect the camera with the router using an Ethernet cable first. You can configure the Wi-Fi settings in the camera's configuration pages later. For Wi-Fi only cameras, you must use manufacturer's mobile app to connect it to the network. (2) If your Wi-Fi access point/router supports WPS, then it is very easy to connect your device to the network. Turn on the camera and press the WPS button on your Wi-Fi access point (router) for 3 seconds; the WPS button will usually start flashing. Next, quickly press the WPS button on your camera. In about 1 minute, you will see the status light changes, indicating it is connected to the wireless router. 1.2 Find the Camera’s IP Address Please refer to the manufacturer’s manual for more detailed information. Usually you will run the included IP Camera Search Tool to find the camera. If your computer does not have a DVD/CD drive, then you can download CameraFTP VSS software to find the camera's IP address. ( After you find the camera's IP address, you can stop / uninstall VSS. Note: This camera is compatible with VSS-based Cloud Recording. You can use VSS as a cloud-enabled NVR, which requires a PC. ) Some Wansview IP cameras (e.g. NCM620W) use a static IP address as the default IP address. If the default static IP address is not in the same subnet as the PC (e.g. if the default camera IP address is 192.168.0.168, and the PC's IP address is 192.168.1.101), then VSS cannot find the camera. In this case, you must use the manufacturer's IP search tool to find the camera and then change it to use dynamic IP address (DHCP). In the screenshot below, you need to check "Set IP automatically" Step 2: Configure the Camera Using the Web-based Configuration Tool Most IP cameras don't support Chrome, incl. this camera. So please download Firefox web browser if you don't have it already. Launch

To your network. A device (like a computer or smartphone) must have an IP address for the router to identify and send data packets. The data packets are what makes your internet, well, internet. Anytime you visit a new page, stream a video or listen to music those data packets are what makes it all work.Default GatewayA gateway is a node in your network that allows you to access another network, which means it allows for outgoing data packets. It’s like an intermediary between the two, and when you connect to a different network the default gateway is the IP address of the interface of your router. The default part means it is used automatically, unless another application specifies it should use another gateway. Why Do I Need to Know My IP Address? So, your IP address is basically your footprint. You’ll need it for your internet to work correctly. That’s because all networks work using protocols to allow for access and interaction with the greater internet. You can think of your IP address as a little tracker that shows the internet where you’ve been and what you’ve been doing. It also reveals your location. Sounds spooky? It can be. That’s why a lot of people hide their IP address — more on that in future posts. How to Find Your Router IP AddressFind Your Router IP Address in Windows If this seems simple, it’s because it is.
