Sigil, the 3D virtual tabletop (VTT) for Dungeons & Dragons, is officially now available for download for fans with a registered D&D Beyond account. Wizards of the Coast first announced and previewed Sigil in its alpha stage during Gen Con 2024 in Indianapolis, after which the software was offered to select alpha testers with a Master Tier subscription on D&D Beyond. Alpha testing has ended, which means Sigil 3D VTT is now open for subscribers to begin exploring and integrating into their campaigns. Available for use by anyone with a registered D&D Beyond account, Sigil 3D VTT integrates with D&D Beyond to provide intuitive world-building and virtual mini-making tools designed to enhance gameplay for the whole party. Powered by Unreal Engine 5, Sigil provides DMs and players alike with a 3D experience that will make campaigns, locations, characters and monsters come alive. What Can Sigil 3D VTT Do for Your D&D Game? Using Sigil's customizable toolset featuring assets, brushes, and lighting effects, users can create 3D digital environments that come to life during gameplay. Adventure settings can have notes, markers, tokens, and miniatures on the maps, making the experience more immesive for everyone at the table. All registered account holders will have access to download and play a base experience, which includes a pre-made introductory adventure, a starter kit for builders, and the ability to join multiplayer games. Similar to D&D Beyond's 2D VTT, Maps, subscribers with a Master Tier account will have access to expanded resources that include the opportunity to create, host, and share multiplayer games and maps, as well as unlock additional builder kits, custom miniature outfits, and unpainted minis.
