I like ^W for word erase, as in linux shells, so I'm glad to have found this. The first script didn't work for me in CMD (jumps back a word then erases the first character, not the whole word). The next script above wasn't quite ideal either, so rather than looping e.g. 500 times sending Del keystrokes (which I found sometimes spills over and sends deletes into another window if you change focus, eek), instead there is CMD's F4 functionality: Prompts for a character and deletes up to that char. So, jump a word back with ctrl-Left, then F4 followed by Space, to delete up to a space. The only minor downsides are that (a) it flashes the prompt box briefly, and (b) repeated word erases leave a pile of spaces (harmless but a bit unattractive). I also wanted ^U (erase to start of line) and ^A/^E/^F/^B word/char movement like linux shells (even though they already exist in CMD, I touch type so prefer not to move my hands away from the main keyboard). :) I also kept in David Hoppe's great ^V for paste. Thus:#IfWinActive ahk_class ConsoleWindowClass; Paste in command window^V::Send !{Space}epreturn; was ^BackSpace, I prefer ^W a la linux^W:: ;;Delete previous wordSend ^+{Left}Send {F4}{Space}Return^U:: ;;erase to start of lineSend ^{Home}Return^A:: ;;move to start of lineSend {Home}Return^E:: ;;move to end of lineSend {End}Return^F:: ;; move one char forwardSend {Right}Return^B:: ;;move

If you’ve ever lost a form you’re filling out because the Backspace key sends you to the previous page, get ready to be happy. In the newest Canary builds of Chrome, Google has added the ability to stop using the Backspace key as a Back browser button. While there are already some people—notably programmers and the keyboard shortcut-oriented, so essentially our audience—who are upset about the change, it’s also a welcome option for those of us who have other, better options for going back one page. The change hasn’t rolled out to any of the other Chrome channels, so there’s still time if you don’t want the change. Google is also experimenting with a flag that will let users choose to enable or disable this feature, which will probably make its way to release. In the meantime, however, those of us who have raged at their keyboards because we accidentally hit this key will have something to look forward to.Chromium Code Reviews via EngadgetPhoto by ElbridgeGerry.. It’s a new day and you’re fully hyped to have a productive day until you realize that some of the keys on your keyboard aren’t working. The keyboard is an essential peripheral to navigating and typing on a computer. Facing any kind of issues with important keys like Backspace, Enter or Spacebar keys is a bummer. If you are stuck with this problem and have no idea how to retrieve the functioning of these keys, then you are at the right place. Just before you throw out the whole keyboard instead try out the quick solutions mentioned in this article. These tested methods will help you fix Enter, Backspace, or Spacebar keys not working issue in Windows 11.8 Effective Ways to Fix Enter, Spacebar, or Backspace Keys Not Working in Windows 11We have tried different troubleshooting steps and here are the 8 most common reasons for the Spacebar, Enter, or Backspace keys to stop working on Windows 11. They are easy to fix and here is how you can do it yourself easily.1. Disable Sticky Keys and Filter Keys on WindowsSticky keys are such a useful function to have on Windows to use one key instead of using two keys at a time for shortcuts. However, the same function when disabled has helped many users in bringing back the unfunctional Enter, Spacebar, and Backspace keys on the computer. In the same way, turning off the Filter keys option which ignores repeated keystrokes might solve the issue. Here is how you can disable the Sticky and Filter Keys in Windows 11:Launch Start Menu and go to Settings.Click on Accessibility in the left pane of the menu.Under the Interaction section, click on Keyboard to view Sticky and Filter Key options.Turn off the Stick keys and Filter keys.In most cases, this method should work as many users have recovered their Enter, spacebar, or Backspace keys by turning off Stikcy and Filter keys. If the keys still don’t work after turning off the Sticky and Filter keys, try the next troubleshooting method below.2. Update Keyboard Drivers Using Device ManagerKeeping the drivers not updated and running on older version drivers will lead to issues with devices. You can easily fix the problem of keys not working on Windows 11 by updating the drivers of the keyboard. In the Start menu, search for Device Manager and click on the first result.Expand the Keyboards section and Right-click on your keyboard driver.Click on the Update driver from the drop-down menu.Choose the Search automatically for drivers. If there’s any latest version of the driver, the system will install it directly and this way you can update your Keyboard drivers. Now, try out the keyboard and even if the problem persists, try reinstalling the CaseSpecifications• PCB: 1.2mm, with Ai03 DB• Finish treatment: nano-coating, glass, stainless steel• Default plate: PC or Aluminium Plate• Support: split spacebar, split backspace, split left shift and split right shift• Bluetooth PCB polling rate in wired mode: 1000hz• Bluetooth PCB can be used in wired or wireless mode.• Essential kit with Glass mirror back plate kit/ PC plate: 1.58 kg• Essential kit with Glass mirror back plate kit/ Alu plate: 1.62 kg• Essential kit with PVD SS back plate kit/ PC plate: 1.75 kg• Essential kit with PVD SS back plate kit/ Alu plate: 1.78 kg• Essential kit with Carbon fiber back plate kit/ PC plate: 1.54 kg• Essential kit with Carbon fiber back plate kit/ Alu plate: 1.57kgPRICINGZOOM TKL Essential EditionSS PVD/ Glass back plates kit ZOOM TKL Essential EditionCarbon Fiber back plates kitCase only. An acquaintance of mine just bought a new laptop today. On Windows 7, he has been used to using the character generated by Ctrl-Backspace(ASCII 127) in his password. In fact, his password was simply 3 times this character, because he figured it would be hard to guess. So he boots up his new laptop that has Windows 8 on it, and uses the same password when creating a user account. This works fine here. However, when he tries to log on, the Ctrl-Backspace combination does not work. Neither does using alt+numpad to enter the keycode. So now he is simply unable to log on to his brand new computer, and there was no windows 8 disk accompanying it so he would be able to reset/reinstall.Is there anything he can do? Or does he have to take it back to the retailer? Thanks in advance.PS: This is obviously a bug -- where does one file bugs for Windows 8?

Display only black screen. To solve that, try clearing Kodi cache from your devices setting and reboot Kodi. If the problem still occurs, hit backspace on keyboard or hold the back button on your remote, that should call out the hidden pane on the left side from which you can go to settings. Then go to Skin settings > Configure shortcuts > and click Restore Menu items > click Yes. That should fix the Titan Bingie stuck problem, but please note that'll restore all menu items back to default. 2. How to Setup Titan Bingie Skin on Kodi Now Titan Bingie is loaded and we're in business. After the awesome splash screen, Titan Bingie will pop up a two-step wizard for basic configurations, follow the wizard when you see it to get to Titan Bingie home screen. Whenever you need to go to Titan Bingie settings menu from homescreen, hit backspace on your keyboard or hold the back button on your remote. Titan Bingie Skin Blank Screen Fix If you're seeing nothing but a black screen after Titan Bingie startup wizard, that because Titan Bingie requires local movie & TV library integration for home screen display. You can learn from our guide on how to add local library to Kodi or follow the Titan Bingie startup wizard to do so. Additionally, later content addition like playlists from third-party addons will also added to home page. Titan Bingie skin home screen layout is customizable from: Settings > Skin settings > Homescreen
