And Kitty to face Jack. The latter immediately recognizes Kitty, having worked for him in the past, but in the confusion generated by the Three Bears the two cats escape with the map. "Big" Jack Horner tries to block them using a trident to hit the flying carpet they were escaping with, but in the end Puss and Kitty still manage to escape and "Big" Jack Horner decides to gather the Baker's Dozen, to take all his magical objects and creatures and put them all inside his bag and, having transformed a pumpkin into a tank, set off in pursuit of the enemies by locating them using a sphere.Once they arrive in the Dark Forest, they find Goldilocks and the Three Bears and Jack throws them off the road by hitting them with Excalibur, and then continues on to the field of flowers, the first evidence of the map wielded by Perrito. Jack orders his subordinates to cut them down, but when the plants rebel and start killing some members of the Baker's Dozen Jack Horner decides to resort to his weapons. He brings out what he thinks is a magical locust and orders it to eat the plants, but it turns out to be the Talking Cricket, who tries to convince him to help his subordinates despite Jack saying he doesn't want to bother with what happens to his subordinates. After that, Jack takes the Phoenix out of his endless bag and uses it as a flamethrower, burning the plants and thus being able to continue his journey.Once they get to the river, Jack kidnaps Perrito and, threatening him with the unicorn's horn despite the Talking Cricket trying to dissuade him, tries to persuade Puss and Kitty to give him the map, however as Goldilocks and the Three Bears arrive, a free-for-all battle ensues to get the map. Jack tries to hit Puss using the unicorn horn, however he ends up hitting three of his underlings killing them and exploding them into confetti, to the shock of both Puss and the Talking Cricket. Through this, Page comments his personal opinion of how that it is "redneck city." However, his boss then asks how he enjoyed his conversation with the baseball coach, revealing that Page never did talk to him about the black eye, which would have cleared up everything instead of jumping to the conclusion he did, which nearly got Jack removed from his family. He is later removed from the investigation and fired. The boy then intercepts a phone call from the Protective Services Office, in which Page's boss apologizes for the misunderstanding. Jack lies and tells Whyatt that if he continues to lose his temper, the government will take him away. Unaware that he is no longer under investigation, Whyatt heeds Jack's warning and attempts to control his temper, no matter how much his son misbehaves. Eventually, Mom & Dad learns from the case manager that the investigation was halted a week earlier and that Jack deliberately neglected to tell anyone the truth a week later. When she confronts Jack, he admits that he is doing it because he doesn't believe Whyatt loves him. Mom tells Whyatt about the misunderstanding, which upsets him. Mom tells Whyatt why Jack lied and to let him know that he loves him, but Whyatt has trouble saying that because of his upbringing with his little boy. Later, Whyatt tells Jack in his own unique way, how much he loves him, and they start to play fight. Stub about stuff in the second Alone in the Dark game. You can help the Alone in the Dark Wiki by expanding it. Note[]Although it could imply Jack is alive, it could be a small easter egg announcing the launch of Alone in the Dark 2 for consoles, which were named "Jack is Back" and "One-Eyed Jack's Revenge".Strategy[] He is fought near the end of the game, aboard the Flying Dutchman's main deck, where he weilds dual swords. He is a capable opponent who frequently blocks. The best strategy against him is to wait for him to taunt (either by twirling his swords or crossing them together). As a last ditch attempt to kill the player after his supposed defeat, he feigns his death and instantly comes up to attack.Quotes[]"I was waiting for you Carnby, but listen.""By the horn of Beelzebub, the Flying Dutchman was calling me. A ball roars down the first base line and strikes Jack in the face, leaving him with a black eye. After the game, Jack accompanies Whyatt to the Bega Lo Mart. Two older women spot the pair from an aisle, as Whyatt throws a temper tantrum when he is unable to be directed to the hardware department, and the elderly women erroneously pass on that Jack is being abused. Word spreads throughout the community, and eventually, a social worker named Anthony Page is dispatched to investigate the incident.Page arrives at the Hill home just as Whyatt throws a temper tantrum (after banging his head on the hood of his car). Before Page interviews Whyatt, Mom assures Page that her husband is as gentle as a lamb and Whyatt tells the social worker during the interview that his son received the black eye during a baseball game. He also emphatically denies ever hitting his son, and forces Page to leave. Meanwhile, Page remains unconvinced and begins interviewing neighbors
