Is taking place which is affecting me later. It appears I am not using intel mkl libraries .....My 2nd question is I require archive file of arpack ie libarpack.a.a filesThe Cmake command does not produce libarpack.a file (if i am not mistaken). it needs to be created manually using ar q libarpack.a *.omy concern is the .o files are in SRC, UTIL and Parpack directories and may also be elsewhere ARPACK-NG folder. which folder should i consider if i am working with MPI/64 bit interface with MPI=ON2b what is parapck3 If I am compiling using simple ifort (without mpi) shoud i keep MPI=0 or OFF and subsquently do i need parpack filesdeepest regardsvs Hi Vardaan,1) The BLAS and LAPACk comes with intel mkl. Sirthe installed version of ifort is 19.0.4.243 on ubuntu 18.04. the intel parallel studio xe (clusters) 2019 is the versioni am getting difficulty while compiling ARPACk-NG. Though I am using intel but i am not getting same files (.so) as yours. there is no intel file ? is it because of environment settings ? how can get same as that yours. This page describes different resource configurations for running Lumerical FDTD simulations for different use cases. Note: Resource configuration for running FDTD on GPU can be found in the Getting started with running FDTD on GPU Knowledge Base article.Default resource configurationThe default configuration is appropriate for running simulations on the local computer.The simulation job is run using multiple MPI processes with each process utilizing 1 core.Starting with 2022 R1.1, running with either Microsoft MPI or Intel MPI, processor binding is enabled by default on Windows. TIP: Determine the optimum resource configuration for FDTD simulations. Resource configuration without using MPIIt is possible to run a simulation job without using MPI. This is occasionally done when there are issues installing or running with MPI. Simulation speed should be very similar to the default configuration. To run without MPI, Open 'Resources', select the resource line, 'Edit' and select 'Local Computer' as the 'Job launching preset'. Set 'Threads' to the number of cores available on your computer. Host is unavailable. Please check that all hosts are available. [mpiexec@node8103] 2. Cannot launch hydra_bstrap_proxy or it crashed on one of the hosts. Make sure hydra_bstrap_proxy is available on all hosts and it has right permissions. [mpiexec@node8103] 3. Firewall refused connection. Check that enough ports are allowed in the firewall and specify them with the I_MPI_PORT_RANGE variable. [mpiexec@node8103] 4. pbs bootstrap cannot launch processes on remote host. 2025-04-02Versions:- Intel oneAPI HPC Toolkits 21.4- PBS version: 2020.1.3- OS: CentOS Linux release 7.7.1908 (Core)I would like to echo the issue that other users are having with multi-node jobs (oneAPI HPC v21.4).The error is as follow:[mpiexec@node8103] check_exit_codes(../../../../../src/pm/i_hydra/libhydra/demux/hydra_demux_poll.c:117): unable to run bstrap_proxy on node8104 (pid 65308, exit code 256[mpiexec@node8103] Possible reasons: [mpiexec@node8103] 1. Host is unavailable. Please check that all hosts are available. [mpiexec@node8103] 2. Cannot launch hydra_bstrap_proxy or it crashed on one of the hosts. Make sure hydra_bstrap_proxy is available on all hosts and it has right permissions. [mpiexec@node8103] 3. Firewall refused connection. Check that enough ports are allowed in the firewall and specify them with the I_MPI_PORT_RANGE variable. [mpiexec@node8103] 4. pbs bootstrap cannot launch processes on remote host. You may try using -bootstrap option to select alternative launcher. Thus:- 2021.3: both pbsdsh and ssh works as hydra launcher - 2021.4: only ssh works as launcher. It could be a problem with either PBS or Intel MPIMy questions are:- Is there a minimal version requirement for PBS ?- Will there be a performance degradation when forcing 'ssh' as launcher ?Thanks.
