On FPS games I totally understand that console players would want to play with console players and PC players with PC players. But on a sports game I don't really see why one would want to play specifically against players from his own system. I'am sure it's not easy to do though but that would be amazing. I mean PC players would probably benifit the most from that because it's hard to find games. And it's near impossible to find good games. Actually I only have one sim friend to play against on PC. I don't know how cross platform would work in general and how it will be set up w/ 2K but I know park wise PC players got a lot of silly stuff going on over there. Players over 7' and celebs and etc. Honestly don't know what else they'd be capable of.
