Green Lantern (Volume 2) #17 is an issue of the series Green Lantern (Volume 2) with a cover date of December, 1962. Synopsis for "The Spy-Eye That Doomed Green Lantern!"A ring of spies are attempting to gain the plans of or trying to steal the next X-50 jet being built by Ferris Aircraft Company for the US Military. In order to do so, they coat test-pilot Hal Jordan with a spy-eye device that lets them view whatever Hal is doing. Viewing him recharging his power ring they begin to suspect that he is really Green Lantern. When they see the combination to the safe where the plans are being stored, the spies seek to steal it unaware that Hal has used his power ring to coat the plans so that if stolen he would be made aware.Having to cancel a date with Carol when the plans get stolen, Hal goes into action as Green Lantern, and captures the spies trying to steal the plans. Learning how they found out the safe combination, Hal turns the crooks over to the police and spends the night sleeping in a bubble in space. When the remaining spies check the spy-eye and find that they can only view Green Lantern, they are convinced that the Green Lantern is Hal Jordan. The next day as Hal is testing the X-50 jet, he invisibly leaves the plane to recharge his power ring and use it to change Pieface into a duplicate Green Lantern. When Hal is captured by the spies, they are shocked when Green Lantern appears to save him, little knowing it is Pieface. After the spy ring is busted up, and his secret identity protected once more, Hal reveals to Pieface what he had done, as Pie has no recollection of what had happened.Appearing in "The Spy-Eye That Doomed Green Lantern!"Featured Characters:Green LanternSupporting Characters:Carol FerrisTom KalmakuAntagonists:Ivar Domann (Single appearance)Other Characters:Locations:CaliforniaCoast CityFerris AircraftItems:Green Lantern RingGreen Lantern Power BatteryTom Kalmaku's CasebookVehicles:The X-50 (Experimental Rocket)NotesThis issue is reprinted in The Green Lantern Archives Vol. 3, Showcase Presents: Green Lantern Vol. 1 and The Green Lantern Chronicles Vol. 4.See AlsoCover gallery for the Green Lantern seriesRecommended ReadingGreen Lantern Recommended ReadingGreen Lantern (Volume 1)Green Lantern (Volume 2)Green Lantern (Volume 3)Green Lantern (Volume 4)Green Lantern (Volume 5)Green Lantern (Volume 6)Green Lantern (Volume 7)The Green Lantern (Volume 1)The Green Lantern: Season Two (Volume 1)Green Lantern Corps (Volume 1)Green Lantern Corps (Volume 2)Green Lantern Corps (Volume 3)Green Lantern: Emerald Warriors (Volume 1)Green Lantern: New Guardians (Volume 1)Green Lanterns (Volume 1)Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps (Volume 1)Links and References. Flashlight. After beating Kintoru’s boss battle, you will be rewarded with the Kintoru Lantern. It has similar lighting to the Kusonoki lantern, but the lighting is white instead of red.The Kintoru Lantern used to be available by beating the Kintoru's Trials in nightmare mode. However, as the said gamemode was removed, beating Nightmare Ⅳ is now the only way to obtain this lantern.Jealousy's BookNightmare Ⅰ gives you the badge alongside the Mio/Mouth Lantern. It's a yellowish-green lantern which includes Mio's mouth and some tentacles surrounding it, which has a yellow-ish (Low Quality) orb, or a green-ish yellow (High Quality) orb glowing at its side. At times, the tentacles may glitch out and it will stick out instead of curling around the lantern.Nightmare Ⅱ gives a badge but you don’t get a lantern for completing it like Jealousy's Nightmare I. Instead, it gives an average of 1000 coins which can be used to buy 1 of 3 lanterns in the shop. Instead of being rewarded one lantern for completing the chapter, players can have the option to choose 3 different lanterns. You can also get all of the shop lantern if you beat Jealousy's Nightmares long enough. The shop lanterns are the Nagisa Lantern, PonPon Lantern, and Zuboshi Lantern. It can also be noted that coins can be found around the map alongside doing main missions like grabbing meat, cooking meals for Zuboshi, completing the tower memory puzzles, and dealing damage to Nagisa will all give extra coins (keep in mind that you will only be able to save the coins you get after defeating Nagisa's first phase completing the chapter, you won't have your collected coins if you leave in the middle of the game).Nightmare Ⅲ will give you the badge alongside the Grin Demon Lantern, which is its head but with lightish red eyes, and with its spine which you hold onto like a balloon similarly to Ronnie's lantern.GamemodesThe Witch Trials (Nightmare) gives the Duality Lantern, with decoration, being both Futao's and Mote's old masks with their shared old hat on top.Event RewardsHalloween Trials gives two Kabocha Lanterns. One is in a lantern style, and the other one is in a Jack-O-Lantern style. (Obtainable only during October)Death's Challenge gives the Shinigami Lantern, with the decoration being Shinigami's head.Hiachi's Request gives the Shiniachi Lantern with decoration. It resembles a more evil-looking Hiachi wearing a black hat but covering her face with
