Thick mud bottom that many have reported pulling anchors in strong winds - we had no issue! Spectacular mountains surround the harbor, but beware of the very strong winds that seem to kick up and die down very quickly! It’s important to preserve this public space, as it’s one of the few remaining on the island.As travelers, we were disappointed to learn that there are only three public beaches left on all of Moorea. It’s absurd to see how much of the coastline has been privatized, reflecting poor decisions made in the past.
