WAIT?! What is a portfolio?Let us answer this! Most of the job applicants today are asked to produce a resume only while a variety of organizations require them to carry along a professional portfolio, too.A professional portfolio is a collection that represents the individual’s achievements, talents, skills, outstanding performance, milestones, work samples, photographs, certificates, etc. While a resume seems very similar to a portfolio, it is indeed not. A resume documents the experiences, skills, and academics, while a portfolio requires an individual’s recent achievements and talents. It might take you hours, even more, to design a portfolio but the employer is very likely to spend less than a minute on it. 2025-04-24The final release of Microsoft's operating system includes Windows 7 and Windows 8. It was made free of charge by Microsoft after it was discontinued. It was part of the discontinued expression studio.Expression Web can be downloaded for free from the Microsoft Download Center, and no new versions will be developed.Expression Web and Expression Design will be free as a result of the integration of Expression Blend into Visual Studio. There is technical support for customers who purchased Expression Web or Expression Design after reading their support lifetime guides. There will be no new versions of Design or Expression Web. .The front end development tools that you can find in Expression Web are missing from Visual Studio. The target audience of Expression Web would never use any of the tools in Visual Studio.Expression Web was only seen as a second rate product by people who chose to see it as a step child of Visual Studio. It was not second rate or something that should have been put down. It's pretty much a direct quote from Microsoft that the web is moving towards Win8 apps rather than websites.Microsoft's only true front end web design and development application, Expression Web, is no longer being used. Microsoft's misguided quest to make the web obsolete and replace it with Windows 8 apps is disappointing. The company is painting this as a move to consolidate and refine their web and app development toolkit, but the message is loud and clear to anyone working as front end web developers: If you do not make. NET and Windows 8 apps we have no interest in you.I am behind on Windows software because I am not a web developer. I changed to Linux and was really happy with it, until I bought a new PC that only runs Windows. I had to backtrack last year. I started using my old software.I like it even though it is years old. Is the new Front Page not Expression? I am sorry to see that it is giving up support. I had enough money to buy my own copy of Front Page.People
