Besides the basic preview, search, and organize features, it can also detect fonts from creative software, which makes it an ideal choice for creative professionals. Let’s take a look at some of Extensis Connect’s key features. I’ll also share my personal opinion on each of them.Sync and Activate Third-party FontsBesides syncing local fonts from your computer, Extensis Connect can also sync fonts from Google Fonts and Adobe Fonts. You can activate fonts temporarily (blue dot) or permanently (green dot). Temporary activation activates any font already in your library until the next time you restart or quit and reopen Extensis Connect. Both temporary and permanent activated fonts can be directly used in creative software and some macOS apps like Pages. If you don’t want to show too many fonts in your software, you can Deactivate fonts that you’re not using and activate them whenever you need to use them. Quickly to keep my font list clean in the design software without having to go to Google Fonts or Adobe Fonts to do them separately. And the temporary font activation is definitely helpful when I need to use fonts for some quick projects.Font OrganizationJust like other font management software, Extensis Connect allows you to create your own font collections, but you can’t mix fonts from different Libraries. Collection is referred to as Set in Connect Fonts.For example, you can’t add a font from Adobe Fonts to a Set under Google Fonts Library. If you want to make a logo font collection and you want to add fonts from Google Fonts and Adobe Fonts, you’ll need to create two separate Sets under each font Library. Another way to organize fonts is by adding tags (from the web version) or editing attributes to fonts so that you can find them easier. My personal take: Not a big fan of the font organization feature of Extensis Connect because I get so confused about its Library and Set, and the fact that I cannot put add fonts to my collections freely is somehow frustrating. Iam using windows 10, i have a free Installed: Adobe Acrobat Reader DC (17.009.20044).I have a pdf document & my Adobe Acrobat Reader DC doesn't display hindi fonts (whose screenshot is given below)Now, i have searched many posts in this forums & have downloaded various recommendations [Adobe - Adobe Reader : For Windows ] but the problem is still there.Also;when i checked the document properties - fonts, i found that my pdf document uses -ArialMTMangalMangal-BoldMyriadPro-Regularand when i checked My Computer >> C Drive >> Program Files >> Adobe >> Acrobat Reader DC >> Resource >> Font, i found that ArialMT, Mangal, Mangal-Bold & MyriadPro-Regular fonts are not present in that folder.(although my control-pannel's fonts section shows i have Arial & Kruti fonts but it doesn't says ArialMT as well as there is no sign of Mangal, Mangal-Bold & MyriadPro-Regular fonts)Now,i have assumed that the pdf is not displayed correctly is because of the absence of the above mentioned sets of fonts.am i correct ??if yes, then what's the remedy ? Bug reportDescribe the bugHere is a clear and concise description of what the problem is:Kodi on Android (Chromecast w/ Google TV) extracts all fonts from .mkv files during library building and puts them into Android/data/org.xbmc.kodi/files/.kodi/temp/fonts folder. The folder and its contents persist over application restarts, and can become huge depending on your media library content, over 1 GB at some point in my case. The first time I was unaware of this happening and my storage filled completely and my Chromecast soft-bricked - I was forced to factory reset.Next time, I connected to Chromecast through adb and monitored folder sizes during adding to library. It's when I noticed temp/fonts folder increasing in size very quickly. I managed to clear it using EZ Maintenance+ add-on when it reached over 800 MB, however that posed another problem. The app actually built some kind of fonts database based on the temp/fonts folder, and subtitles would not work anymore. Looking at the logs showed that it tried to use the font files in temp/fonts, assuming it to already be there (from library building), instead of extracting it on the fly as needed. The idea of building references to a folder inside temp seems baffling, the code snippet from FontUtils.h clearly says:// Temporary font path (where MKV fonts are extracted and temporarily stored) constexpr const char* TEMP = "special://temp/fonts/";so this is definitely an unwanted behavior. Thus, deleting temps/fonts contents made playing videos with their attached fonts impossible, and Kodi would override it with default one instead. I used path substitute for the special://temp/fonts/ folder and put it on a network drive, which worked. The program could access it and if I extracted fonts from a specific .mkv, put them in that folder and played it, Kodi would display them correctly. However, after I extracted all fonts from all my .mkv files, removed any duplicates and put them in the folder (4776 fonts, 2.3 GB), attempting to play any file would result in hang atinfo : CDVDSubtitlesLibass: Initializing ASS library font settingswhere after some time Kodi would crash withinfo : CPeripheralBusAndroid: input device "virtual-search" with ID 11 removed info : UnregisterRemovedDevices - device removed from joystick/android/inputdevice/11: virtual-search (18D1:0100)The fact everything works when there are fewer front files suggests that either Chromecast has problem entering a folder with so many files or that Kodi is doing something it has no business doing, like loading all ~4800 font files, despite the .mkv being played only using 6. The latter is my guess made by looking at void CDVDSubtitlesLibass::Configure() function with my very limited Cpp knowledge. Even if a better hardware can handle loading so many fonts, it seems like a bad implementation to load all ~4800 of them just to play a file that uses 6 at most, and that's after the already questionable decision to extract all fonts from .mkv files in the first place instead of doing it on the fly as needed and then clearing the temp folder.Expected BehaviorHere is a clear and concise description
