Apparently, Sadhguru only took a test ride of the motorcycle.Above, you can see the latest post clarifying their position from Ducati. Newslaundry spoke to Isha Foundation of Sadhguru which confirmed that Sadhguru never bought the motorcycle.Jagadish Vasudev popularly known as Sadhguru has bought his second Ducati recently. Ducati India shared a picture while handing over the keys to the Multistrada 1260 to Sadhguru. It also is not a regular Multistrada but the Pikes Peak edition, which is priced at Rs. 21.42 lakhs, ex-showroom.Sadhguru has always shared his passion for motorcycles. He has been biking for a long time now and has been spotted riding on the roads too. The Ducati Multistrada 1260 is a dream bike of many long-distance touring enthusiasts and it is loaded with features. The Multistrada 1260 Pikes Peak edition was launched last year and it is Rs. 5.43 lakh more expensive than the standard edition of the bike.The special edition bike is powered by the same 1,262cc, liquid-cooled, L-Twin engine that powers the standard version. It produces a maximum power of 158 Bhp at 9,500 rpm and a peak torque of 129.5 Nm. The new engine of the Multistrada gets Desmodromic Variable Timing (DVT) which combines with the Desmo Valve Actuation and results in a strong low-end torque.The Pikes Peak version of Multistrada gets a lot of features that are missing from the standard version of the bike. There is Ohlins suspension at front and rear, Termignoni exhaust system, bi-directional quick-shifter and cornering ABS. The top-spec suspension really elevates the bike to a different level. To keep the weight low, it also gets carbon fibre windscreen, front mud-guard and air intake covers. The Multistrada Pikes Peak also gets an altered chassis that includes a new longer swingarm and an altered front-end geometry. However, the wheelbase, trail and rake remain similar to the regular 1260 Multistrada. The Pikes Peak version is the lightest of all and weighs only 229 kg.The feature list also gets newly forged aluminium wheels, which are extremely lightweight. It is the most expensive Multistrada version of the 1260 Series and gets back-lit buttons on the handlebars, automatic turn signal cancellation, four riding modes, Ducati wheelie control, cruise control and hands-free connectivity. It also gets a full TFT instrument display, full LED headlamps with cornering lamps. The motorcycle is built for high speed adventure touring, and is the top-of-the-line touring Ducati. It’s unclear if Sadhguru plans to actually tour India on this highly capable and versatile motorcycle.Earlier Sadhguru was spotted with Baba Ramdev on the Ducati Desert Sled scrambler. After a series of events scheduled in key cities along the way, he is aiming for a homecoming in New Delhi in 75 days in honour of India's 75th year of Independence."It's extremely important that we act now. I've been talking about this for over 24 years, but solution can only happen when there is positive policy in every nation," Sadhguru told reporters at the Indian High Commission in London before setting off on his bike tour. "It is still snowing in many parts of Europe and we'll be going through that on a two-wheeler. At this age, it's not really a joy ride. So why am I doing this? Because over 3,00,000 farmers have died by suicide in the last 20 years. Not just in India, across the world this is happening one of the main concerns is soil depletion," he said.The "Save Soil Movement", launched as part of the spiritual leader's "Conscious Planet" initiative, is aimed at turning the world's attention towards dying soil and growing desertification. The focus is on getting countries to institute national policies towards increasing the organic content in cultivable soil."Whether on the cricket field or on the field of life, if we are to play well, soil has to be well. Time to come together and turn things around. Let's make it happen," he said, during a visit to the iconic Lord's Cricket Ground for an interaction with Middlesex Cricket Club (MCC) as part of the UK leg of his tour.
