Using it. We were able to store it in a closet but it would easily slide under furniture as well. We especially liked the app which allows you to control the machine, track your stats, and pause workouts. It connected seamlessly via Bluetooth and there's also a remote that can be used to control it. This walking pad is quiet enough to take phone calls or watch TV while you're using it. Its ease of use and app control made it very easy to multitask while getting our steps in. It's lightweight enough that it can be easily managed by one person, especially with the built-in wheels. It folds 180 degrees and is very easy to fold by just lifting the back end. This minimalist-design walking pad is a good value to get more activity in your day. Potential Flaws During testing, we noted this walking pad's power cord is short, limiting placement options. We noticed the belt is narrower than some other options and we accidentally stepped off of it if we weren't paying attention. Most Valuable Insight"if you work from home and want to get some movement in while working, when the weather is bad, etc., it's an ideal product to have. it's easy to fold up and store and then pull out when you want to use it." —Carrie Gavit, Verywell Fit product tester PHOTO: Verywell Fit / Carrie Gavit PHOTO: Verywell Fit / Carrie Gavit PHOTO: Verywell Fit / Carrie Gavit PHOTO: Verywell Fit / Carrie Gavit PHOTO: Verywell Fit/Carrie Gavit PHOTO: Verywell Fit / Carrie Gavit PHOTO: Verywell Fit / Carrie Gavit Walking Pads We Also Tested In total, we tested 30 walking pads and under-desk treadmills, but only 15 made it to our final list of recommendations. Here are some notable mentions that we didn't love enough to include on our list of top picks. WalkingPad’s C1 Lightest Foldable Walking Machine impressed us with its ease of setup, comfort, and quiet operation. However, certain components were fragile, like the plastic piece holding the plug. After a few weeks of use, the walking pad broke, becoming unusable. WalkingPad's X21 Double-Fold Treadmill has an app-controlled setup like other walking pads. However, during testing, we noted glitches in the app, which made it more complicated to use. The walking pad was also louder and less stable than expected.MERACH's T05 Smart Walking Treadmill has a max speed of 6 miles per hour, but we did not feel comfortable or safe using the faster speeds when testing it. We do, however, like that it's foldable for storage and that the belt can only operate if the safety stop device has been clipped in place.EGOFIT's ComfortDeck-M2T Walking Pad was gentle on our. We really like this treadmill’s foldable design, which makes it easy to store and compact enough for small living spaces. This walking pad also syncs with the SunnyFit app, which allows you to stream and follow dozens of treadmill workouts. 2025-04-19| Foldable: Yes | Our Overall Rating: 4.9/5 Who It's For Best for users who want to walk while they work but also have the option to do a running workout. Why We Love It With a bouncy, shock-absorbing feel and the ability to go to 7.6 miles per hour, Urevo's Strol 1 Pro Treadmill is versatile enough to walk while you work and get a running workout in too. We thought the cushioned feet and silicone shock absorbers felt great and were easy on our joints, even at higher speeds. Having displays on the walking pad and the handrail makes it easy to see your stats no matter how you're using the machine. And you can operate the controls with the handrail or the remote. The walking pad came fully assembled, and folding the handrail was a simple matter of adjusting the locking dial. The machine is quiet enough during operation that family members in the next room couldn't hear it during our test. Its compact design allows it to be stored under furniture or upright against a wall. Even though the belt size is a little smaller than a typical treadmill, as long as we stayed focused, running was no problem. Potential Flaws We noted a flaw in the placement of the wheels that required the walking pad to be tilted up at a 45-degree angle to be moved, which made getting it under furniture challenging and risked floor damage. Most Valuable Insight"Overall, the treadmill is super easy to use and it satisfies diverse needs. I can wheel it in between rooms easily. It is suitable for walking or running. It just works into my life and my one-bedroom rental." —Jill Gordon, Verywell Fit product tester PHOTO: Verywell Fit / Jill Gordon PHOTO: Verywell Fit / Jill Gordon PHOTO: Verywell Fit / Jill Gordon PHOTO: Verywell Fit / Jill Gordon PHOTO: Verywell Fit / Jill Gordon PHOTO: Verywell Fit / Jill Gordon PHOTO: Verywell Fit / Jill Gordon PHOTO: Verywell Fit / Jill Gordon PHOTO: Verywell Fit / Jill Gordon PHOTO: Verywell Fit / Jill Gordon ProsRemote or app controllableFolds 180 degreesLightweightConsShort power cordNarrower walking belt Key Specs Dimensions: 56.1 x 22 x 4.1 inches, unfolded; 31.8 x 22 x 5.4 inches, folded | Maximum Weight Capacity: 242 pounds | Speed Range: 1.0-4.0 MPH | Incline Range: None | Product Weight: 51 pounds | Foldable: Yes | Our Overall Rating: 4.8/5 Who It's For Best for users who need a very compact machine and like to track stats and workouts. Why We Love It For a versatile walking pad that can be used under a desk or for a workout, GoPlus's 2 in 1 Folding Treadmill is an easy pick for our best overall. With a walking mode, running mode, Bluetooth connectivity, and a foldable handrail, this treadmill can do it all. We especially loved the handrail, which was easy to fold up and down, and the slight incline, which added a bit of challenge to our step count. The motor is quiet enough that we could use it without disturbing family members. And the compact design allows it to slide under furniture or prop against a wall. The screen is easy to read, and this treadmill is so easy to use that we could just jump on and go. The walking pad is controlled with a remote that has easy-to-understand buttons. A feature we really liked was the 10-minute data retention feature that allowed us to step away for a moment without having to reset or start over. You can connect to the user-friendly Gymax app, which includes personalized plans, stat trackers, and a workout community. Potential Flaws During our test, we noted the phone holder on the handrail was set too low to be comfortable for viewing. We found the wheels were not very effective for moving this walking pad, and we were concerned about floor damage. Most Valuable Insight"This treadmill would be great for someone living in a small space.
