SceneViewer, MemViewer and PalViewer are the ones you're searching for after loading in the save. Bg colour in MemViewer can be changed by clicking on of the palette bar colours within PalViewer.Btw, I was using ZSNES and vSNES too, but then I discovered bsnes-rawpalettes (DL in my signature). You basically download bsnes and then paste the rawpalettes mod into the main directory of bsnes, overwriting the old files. In vSNES, you need to load a quicksave every time you want to work on a whole animation (like, erasing a sprite from another sprite). In bsnes-rawpalettes, you can do thatComments

Join the hamachi network SNESRPG. password is squaresoft. I am so sick and tired of going to some rooms and haveing people not respond to you. If anyone is a fan of playing rpgs online or any other coops, come to this channel. SNESOT isn't worth it, in my opinion unless they start with other games other than versus. padbasher New Member Posts: 1 Joined: Wed Oct 24, 2012 2:25 am Re: Some more Hamachi Servers for ZSNES 1.42 join in!!! 2025-04-11For the title of the rom .srm . Are you suggesting a different search method? And if so, how do I go about doing that?open a "Computer" window and use the box in the upper-right to search for "*.srm*, making sure to include non-indexed locations if asked. Why yes, my shift key *IS* broken. questorps7 New Member Posts: 5 Joined: Mon Oct 17, 2011 1:15 am Re: SRM Files from ZSNES 1.51 Post by questorps7 » Tue Oct 18, 2011 1:19 am OK -- I did a search for *.srm as you suggested and found the files in the oddest place:C:\Users\[My Name]\AppData\Local\Virtual Store\Program Files (x86)\ZSNESKnowing this, I installed ZSNES 1.42 and placed it in its own folder in my program files directory (Program Files (x86)\ZSNES 1.42). I then launched Super Mario RPG in ZSNES 1.42, played for a moment and closed the program. Finally, I went to the above file path (which was associated with ZSNES 1.51), copied all the files associated with Super Mario RPG and moved them to:C:\Users\[My Name]\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\ZSNES 1.42When I launched the game in 1.42 again, my save file was there. And the game seems to be much less glitchy. Thanks for all your help. Hopefully anyone running the program on Windows 7 will see this post and find it useful as well, especially for finding their .srm files. odditude Official tech support dood Posts: 2121 Joined: Wed Jan 25, 2006 7:57 am Re: SRM Files from ZSNES 1.51 in Windows 7 [SOLVED] Post by odditude

I began playing Super Mario RPG a few weeks ago and noticed it was a little glitchy. Then I came across this post: figured out why. Now I'm trying to find out if there's a way to transfer my saved game (in game) to a previous version of ZSNES (the post recommends v 1.42) or to another emulator. I was going to try to save an SRM file but couldn't figure out how to do so on ZSNES 1.51. I checked "SRAM Check+Save" in the "Saves" menu under "Configure" and set a file path in the "Paths" menu. This, however, did not create to .srm file in the specified location. I also searched the forum for a fix but couldn't find anything. I suspect there's something simple that I'm overlooking. In any case, I would appreciate any assistance with information on either (a.) a method to get the .srm file or (b.) transfer my saved gave. Thanks in advance!!**EDIT**A little more information:I'm using Windows 7 64-bitI tried installing ZSNES 1.42 and loading the .smc file, but my saved game was gone. When I loaded the same file from ZSNES 1.51, the saved game was there.
